Barracuda "Cuda" Rhodes

Chief Boatswainsmate Barracuda Rhodes 

Known simply as "Cuda" 

Cuda was the most remarkable pup. He was AKC Canine Good Citizen certified and a registered service therapy dog.  

His heart was the biggest of any pup I've ever known. He loved people, other pups, children, & life itself. 

Each day was a new adventure for Cuda & he liked taking road trips. 

The snow from his trip to Wyoming was a blast & the warm waters of the Florida Keys a whole other kind of fun. 

He was also the guest of honor at four wedding receptions in different states & always a total gentleman. 

Some of his hobbies were boating, swimming in the pool or lake, running thru the woods, & most of all spending time with his family. 

He was a worker & loved to help others. He carried in the large paper towel packs from the car & anything else you gave him to bring into the house. Never a tear or a mark as he was so very gentle in all that he did.  

His enjoyed shopping at his favorite store, West Marine, where he made many friends. 

For several years he worked along side his Dad Larry at Shipshape Yacht Services. Together they went up & down the Charleston marina docks helping people with their boats.   Cuda came to be well known and was loved by all. 

For me what I loved most was the twinkle of his sparkly golden eyes as he gazed at me with that big smile.  It seemed that he always understood how you felt & what you needed. Cuda was such a caring pup. 

He loved his stuffed toys and never tore them up. His favorites were a chocolate stuffed lab and a stuffed yellow duck. 

One of life's pleasures for him were big soft, cushiony beds, as well as constant cuddles and hugs. 

Cuda was a part of our big family & will be deeply missed by all. 

Rest in peace our sweet boy. Over that rainbow 🌈 bridge.  Look for your loved ones Mom Sadie, sisters Maddie & Wahoo, as well as that silly fluffy pup Miss Mandy of who you were so tolerant.
