On the sad day of May 7, 2024 we said goodbye to our sweet and playful Max.
He came to our family on Oct 18, 2013 at the age of 8 months old from the Charleston Animal Society. We were looking for a dog and there he was with his floppy ears and cute little face and sweet whimper begging us to take him home and that's what we did. He was our family's first furbaby but he wasn't our last. He was joined by two doggies; Chloe (who is his best friend) & Rebekah and five cats; Smokey, Boots (who is also his best friend), Klaus, Freya, & Robin. He loved his two legged kids, Sarisa & Arianna. But mostly he loved his daddy & mommy; Mike & Nici the most.
His favorite past time was playing "you can't have this" and "let's go for a car ride". He loved pizza crust and going for walks. He loved to sleep, go for car rides and he loved to eat. He loved his Busy Bones, hot dogs, peanut butter and his pup cups from Dunkin Donuts. He hated thunderstorms and fireworks but he loved to cuddle with mommy during those times. He had multiple different names because just Max wasn't good enough; Corn Chips (because he always smelled like corn chips and we will forever miss that smell), Maximillian, Maximus, Max Factor, and Puppy. And he would answer to all of them.
We will never forget the way he would smile when he was happy, play with his fur siblings, or bark to let us know someone was here. And we will always remember the corn chip smell as Max.
His last weekend was spent at the beach in the water, having pizza to himself, having pup cups, and just spending time with his family.
We will always love you Max.
