Midnite Shannon

November 20, 2013 — December 11, 2024

Our Baby Girl bka Midnite came to us as a precious 3 week old puppy who was much too young to be away from her momma but once we saw the living conditions at the home she came from we knew she was never going back there. Midnite and her brother from another mother Buck were best friends and partners in crime up until his passing in May of this year. Midnite was always one of our fiercest protectors and we never gave cause to worry unless we heard her barking. Many times her human daddy wouldn't even stir unless he heard baby girls voice.

During her time on Earth she's had many brothers and sisters and lots of rescues that momma and daddy (mostly momma) brought home and she always tolerated them with the patience of a saint. She's made so many friends along the way and has always loved her Aunts Lisa and Traci very much and will miss them terribly. Midnite had two special neighbors when we lived in Lugoff and we thank Laura and Kilee for loving our babies as much as we did. Her human brother Billy and sister Julia always loved on her and she wants them to know that she loves them and she will miss them so much. Last year my momma was put on hospice and she had a nurse coming to see her named Montinique ( Monty) and from the minute she stepped foot into our home Midnite loved her. Our girl never took to another human the way she did to Monty and the feeling was mutual. When Monty relocated I thought Midnite was going to pack up and go find her. Monty thank you for loving our baby so much. She really loves you.

In July Midnite was diagnosed with bladder cancer and it had already metastasized to her lungs so we brought her home to live out her days doing basically whatever she wanted. The past week we realized that it was time to let her go and end her pain and suffering.

We would like to take a minute to thank our friends and staff at Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic for the care and love they have always showed our furbabies and continue to, without them we don't know what we would do. Midnites Daddy and me will forever be grateful that we were chosen to be her parents and we wouldn't trade that for the world because she was simply the best girl ever.
